MacLeod Music Access Foundation

Begun in honor of Mark MacLeod, co-founder of Family Piano Co. in Waukegan, IL, it is
the mission of MacLeod Music Access Foundation to raise public awareness of the
importance of music education and life-long recreational music making, and to fund
scholarships toward aspiring students’ music lessons and instrument rentals.

Family Piano Co. makes music education as affordable as possible for everyone, but
some sincere and motivated students require financial aid or other assistance in order
to pursue music-making. “Music education can be an amazingly healthy and positive
force in a person’s life,” says Alice Alviani, owner of Family Piano Co. “We want to allow
students of all ages who are interested in studying music full access to that opportunity.”
