The street address for Joplin's Java is 114 S Genesee, Waukegan iL 60085; we're part of a larger building called Harbor Place. Our front entrance is on Genesee Street, a block and a half south of Washington, alongside the Waukegan River. We're not the easiest café to find the first time, but we're worth it!

Parking

We have a parking lot off of County, "behind" the building. There, we have FREE spots specifically reserved for Visitors. Please do not park in otherwise reserved parking spots. Street parking is available — the rate is 25¢ per half-hour Mon-Sat 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Getting to Downtown Waukegan

From the South

Take I-94/41 north to Route 120 (Belvidere Road). Take 120/ Belvidere east for about 4 miles.

From the West

Take Washington Road east into Waukegan. 

From the North

Take I-94/41 south, taking 41 when they split. Turn off on Route 120 East (Belvidere Road). Take 120/ Belvidere east for about 4 miles. You can also drive down Sheridan.

From the East

Swim into Waukegan Harbor, then follow Seahorse Drive to get to Grand Ave.
