Welcome to Joplin's Java.

Joplin's Java opened up in 2007, as part of Family Piano Co. We named our modest café after Scott Joplin, an influential composer and favorite of our ragtime-playing co-founder, Mark MacLeod. Steeped in music, our café is proud to host concerts, recitals, and, if you're lucky, spontaneous jams.

For Joplin's Java, coffee is our passion. We work with a fantastic local roaster who roasts top-notch 100% arabica beans one pound at a time, each week. Then, our knowledgeable and friendly baristas take it to the next level with custom recipes, eyes for detail, and cutting-edge technique.

But even more than our coffee, we're very proud of the welcoming, relaxing atmosphere of the café. That's why we offer free drip coffee refills and free wi-fi — we want to be a fun place to hang out. Come sit on our couch, drink your latte, and look out our huge windows onto the Waukegan river. You'll never want to leave.
